To whom it may concern,
I would absolutely recommend Cogent Analytics to any business owner who asked. The level of professionalism, dedication, and collaboration we have experienced has been tremendous.
From our initial meeting with Brian Norton, the level of expertise that was brought to bear has been nothing short of astounding.
Every step of the way, Cogent has given us the insight and information necessary to make the best decision for our company. From the initial 3-day analysis, through the plan of action, to the help in execution by our onsite consultant, Rod Shuck, Cogent’s value has been proven time and again.
My business partner and I are beyond happy we made the decision to partner with Cogent Analytics.

East Coast Rigging Letter
To whom it may concern,
Two years ago, Cogent Analytics met with us to propose a no-cost evaluation of our business aimed at identifying potential areas of improvement. We were profitable during this time and believed the adage, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” However, over the following year and a half, we increased our volume by 50% (and our staff correspondingly), which exacerbated previously manageable issues. Our organization structure and processes began showing signs of weakness; some assignments were missed, while others were being performed by multiple employees as we scrambled to keep up with the increased volume of sales.
This time when Cogent called, we agreed that the timing was right as we needed both long-term and short-term road-maps to put us into a position to thrive with our increased business. The initial three (3) day evaluation identified several known problems as well as several unknown problems.
Our consultant, Kai Hungerford, arrived one (I) week later with a generalized understanding of our Company issues from the initial evaluation. Within days, Kai identified additional issues and provided us a road-map to implement lasting changes. Together, we developed charts identifying required actions that targeted “Quick Wins” as well as intermediate and long-term projects that required the creation of ancillary support procedures to achieve fruition.
Throughout the course of the twelve (12) weeks our consultant was here, we created new operational procedures to identify and eliminate waste, improved accountability, provide greater and more concise information to our employees, and track company-wide performance through collaboration of management team members.
We could not have achieved the successes, both large and small, without the assistance and guidance of Cogent. We highly recommend Cogent and Kai for their expertise in business operations, effective communication, and structure they provided.
Sincerely,
Andrew Kerner

Fullen Transportation Letter
Cogent Analytics has developed and instilled what I feel is a good strong foundation for moving forward. I believe this will put Fullen Transportation on a steady path for growth. It is my intent to follow the path Bob has laid out.
Together, Bob and I have laid out a good training schedule, put in place an ongoing system of meeting, and calculated very detailed KPIs.
I believe allowing Cogent into my business will have lasting positive effects.

Paint One – Letter
My experience with Cogent Analytics has been very interesting and rewarding. Throughout the entire process every individual I worked with seemed to have me and Paint One’s best interest at heart.
The process started with my taking a call and then agreeing to complementary visit by a Regional Vice president who was in the area. He spent about a half a day going through some high-level aspects of my business. After his assessment I agreed to have an analyst come in for a couple of days. David Drylie arrived and started a deeper dive into my business. In just a couple of days, David uncovered a significant opportunity for profitability improvements, and we agreed to an engagement.
The following week a Senior Project Director, Vince Botto arrived. He had a draft plan and chart to show how the engagement would unfold. I was extremely encouraged by his confidence in our ability to solve our issues and improve profits for my company.
From the very first day, Vince brought a very high level of enthusiasm and focused on those key areas of the business. As a result of our efforts together we now have a weekly management meeting with metrics. I have a Financial Summary and twelve-week cash flow model that Vince trained my employees to create and review each week. We have formalized Roles and Responsibilities and really improved communications throughout the company.
We have now transitioned into the Life Cycle phase whereby Vince will remain in contact with me reviewing metrics and keeping us on track.
I look forward to my continued, long term relationship with Vince and with Cogent Analytics.

To Whom it may Concern,
Cogent Analytics came to us during a time of firm growth. Internally we knew that the direction of our management (or lack of direction) needed to be modified if we wanted to maintain our size or even further grow the firm. SCA had operated in a small business silo type of organization and used our smaller size to market ourselves as a boutique Architectural firm where a principal would follow our clients project from start to finish and be the client’s day to day contact. As the firm began to grow, we began to struggle with the silo (vertical) management system we had been using for many years.
During our early contact with Cogent Analytics and David Drylie, we learned that it was time to make a management style change. This idea was not just a statement; David preformed an analysis of our business and provided a discovery report allowing us to see the facts of why we may want to consider some level of management modification. As time progressed, we decided to contract with Cogent Analytics and Warren Witter joined the team.
Warren was embedded into our office for seven weeks. During this time Warren helped us to understand where the Principals may want to make changes in our current operations, staff involvement in management, accountability, finances and sustainability. The main management modification which we learned from Warren was what each of the principal’s roles should be in order to empower our staff to take responsibility of the day to day project management without the principals having to do all the management work. Changing our mindset on management has allowed us to focus on the business which has always been our downfall. As Warren helped our office define the several areas of our business requiring modification, he has also provided a path for change for each of those areas.
We understand the path to change is going to be long road but with the help of Warren and Cogent, we understand our path and the steps needed to continue our firm growth and profitability. We look forward to Cogent’s continued help in the weeks, months and years to come as your guidance has been priceless.
Thank you
