To Cogent Analytics
Having been in the same business since 1962, I was pretty sure that I knew what I was doing. I’m sure I did. However, that was not the most important to know; I didn’t know what I should be doing to improve the total business experience.
Our project director, Michelle Ricken, was aware of current business practices and was anxious to share her knowledge with us.
My only “goal” during the past 55 years was to get more business. I did not have any targets to shoot for, just followed the bottom line. As I prepare to retire and pass the business on to my son, when receiving the sales pitch from Cogent, several “hot buttons” were pushed, buttons which could allow us to set targets which would not only improve our business but grow it according to a plan.
The guarantees they promised with the adoption of their suggestions seem attainable. The price of their services, although high, seemed more reasonable the deeper we progressed with their programs.
The promise of regular follow-up checks to make sure the processes recommended were being followed and the targeted benefits were being realized (at no additional cost) provided the icing on their program.
