Our company has recognized the importance of Project Management to improve efficiency and profit for years. Over those years we have created many policies and procedures that were effective … for the 1 or 2 or 3 months we used them! In every attempt to implement a good management plan or an improved process/procedure, we quickly reverted to our standard practice of foregoing the management process and fighting the hottest fires. I believe the best service Cogent provided our company was a simple Management Operating System that is easy to follow, easy to replicate, and easy to adjust to changing conditions. It took an outside consultant to prove to us that simple procedures that seemed daunting in previous attempts WILL work and are worth maintaining.
