Prior to the hiring of Cogent Analytics and meeting Dan Beach, our Company did not have many important details and processes in place. We were fortunate that we functioned successfully, however our goal was to take our Company to the next level which is why we hired Cogent.
Dan spent eight weeks with us and quickly became a part of the team. His welcoming personality helped our team feel at ease as we forged new and tough areas of their work day. As fundamental as it sounds, it was helpful for him to put together surveys, metric, and forecast worksheets as well as job descriptions and the organization chart. The formats were very well done and served multiple purposes. He also helped us put together a work flow from lead to invoice. We never had this in writing and has served us well already. It not only helps our team with understanding our business process but is a big help with the implementation of our new system.
One of the big projects on Dan’s list was to help us in the search for a new ERP system. As with any company, this can be a tremendous project with respect to financial investment, resources and understanding. Dan spearheaded the search and did a nice job gathering our expectations, looking at
the parallel options, and working with us and the potential vendors to find a good match. We are very close to making a decision and appreciate of all his efforts in making this come together so quickly. We feel a new system will improve our efficiencies greatly.
Dan assisted us with the layout of our budget, freight management and a new incentive plan. His groundwork helped us move forward with these new plans. We appreciate all that Dan did to help us and look forward to putting these plans and processes in place.
