Shmuel has over 15 years of experience working with small businesses as a successful entrepreneur in accelerating venture capital opportunities. As a successful leader, Shmuel worked with clients across various industries, from green technologies to medical devices to softball manufacturers. His focus is on applying improvements and lean business strategies for innovative solutions. His strategic approach parallels problem-solving for an in-depth look into processes that initiate growth.
During Covid, Shmuel’s accomplishments included moving to Amazon to improve processes in the fulfillment and operations side of the business. Under his leadership, they drove a 40% increase in performance in multiple production paths and reduced dwelling inbound inventory by over 70%. He led up to 400 people in a top 5% team at a fulfillment center that was the top-performing site in the network during his tenure.
Shmuel’s fantastic journey with entrepreneurship began at the age of 17. Without forethought, he took over the family business and became the breadwinner for a family of 5. With lessons learned and battling through struggles, he returned to school at Ohio University and received an Operations and Management Master’s degree. After this accomplishment, he dove immediately into non-profit economic development.
Now at Cogent Analytics, he serves his clients, offering mentorship, tools, resources, and support he needed during his path as a business owner, and strives daily to ensure upcoming entrepreneurs benefit from that experience.
